FAQ’s:

“I’m 40 years old but look 50, and deal with the public in my work.  I want to look my best to land more clients.  What can I do?”

            You could have a Fraxel Laser Series for collagen renewal and replacement – with skin tightening. Having worked with lasers for over 26 years I've never seen anything like the rapid and astounding results achieved with a Fraxel laser series.  To top it off there's no disruption of surface skin allowing for immediate return to normal activities. Personally I, the doctor have had Fraxel and look at least 10 years younger!

            Botox is still the easiest and extremely effective treatment for fine-to-moderate wrinkles.

            Restylane and Juvederm Ultra are natural hyaluronic fillers for deeper grooves and furrows.  Used in the lip area these injectables can eliminate smokers’ lines and define lip margins to prevent annoying lipstick 'bleed' onto lip skin.

“I have acne scars and my life is ruined! – Help!!”

            For fine scars the painless (in fact it feels good) Crystal free Microdermabrasion Series procedure can do the trick!
            The fillers, Restylane or Juvederm Ultra (natural hyaluronic acid fillers) can lift your scars to the surface.  If you have just a few, shallow depressed acne or even chickenpox scars, then simply filling the dermis (the deeper skin layer) with these products will give you instant results!

            Erbium Laser Skin Smoothing is another option for your scars.  Picture smoothing the edges of your scars down so side-lighting doesn't cast shadows into your scars and voila – they become hard to see!  That's what this laser does.

            And finally, the Fraxel Laser – is the Cadillac of approaches to acne scarring.  It works by thickening the scar damaged skin back to normal depth and adding elastic tissue to elevate the scars to the surface.  A six treatment series is the minimal number of treatments recommended for best results.

 

“Summer’s over – do I still need to use sunscreen?”

            Absolutely!  We recommend protecting your skin with a UVA sunscreen daily as part of your regular skincare routine.  This allows your skin to repair and rejuvenate damage incurred during the summer.

 

“I’m 25 – how do I keep from looking like my mother when I’m 40?”

            Prevention is the key.  Avoid cigarette smoking, use daily sunscreens, avoid tanning beds, and use the best, medical grade products you can grab. All of these make a difference.

 

“I use tanning beds all the time – is that okay?”

            Not if you want to prevent premature and accelerated skin aging.  Also, the use of tanning beds has been linked to an increase in your risk of the deadly malignant melanoma skin cancer.  A wonderful alternative is our Fantasy Tan airbrush tanning with no orange color, no streaking.  No one will know it’s not a real tan!

 

“Every time I go outside, my melasma (mask of pregnancy) gets worse.  I hate it!  Is there a modern, easy way to get rid of this forever?”

            Using the latest generation Fraxel laser - this amazing new, safe, and non-invasive technology removes skin damage and pigment with no-to-minimal downtime.  Fraxel is the only laser solution really delivering astounding eradication of melasma. It works by reducing the number of melanocytes – the cells which manufacture pigment – that are in excess in melasma.  Clients routinely experience resolution of their pigment abnormalities early in their Fraxel series.

“I have a problem with oily skin on my face.  I’m constantly washing it off – have to put my makeup on several times a day.  What can I do?”

            Frequently skin gets oilier with over washing – a natural response when you feel your skin is too oily.  Try blotting your oil with tissue instead – and your skin will diminish its tendency to manufacture oil.  Using minerals based makeup – we recommend GloMinerals makeup here in our office – can really help.
