It’s Presidents’ Day.  Back home in Canada (not to be undone in the National Day Off category) they call today “Family Day”.  Kinda’ begs the question, “What happens to their families the rest of the year?”  But this is not one of the questions I’d like you to consider.

I took a break from work after the last consult and am writing from Saxby’s — a trendy coffee shop with a friendly atmosphere.  I find the background noise helpful in focusing.  Learned that at Penn State University where I did a lot of work at the Hub — just tuning out the hubbub and knocking off projects.

Back on point ….

When considering a cosmetic procedure it’s helpful to ask yourself, “What will (Fraxel, Botox, fillers, microdermabrasion, SmartLipo, etc.) do for me?”

In your mind’s eye, put yourself in the position of actually having had your procedure done and contemplate how your procedure has affected your self-esteem, self confidence, productivity, sales or career improvement from a renewed sense of well being — well, you get my drift.

Gym membership: $60 to $100 per month (whether or not you go — still makes us feel good to belong).  This is between $720 to $1,200 per year.

Meal of the Day:  Weight Watchers or another program can run you over $2,500 a year on meals alone — not to mention registration and meeting fees.

And the “special clothes” — ’nuff said.  Gotta hide that roll.
