Okay — stole the headline from Shakespeare but it’s apropos of today’s blog topic.
Lately, I’ve been meeting a lot of clients who’ve come in distressed by their appearance in summer clothing … dreaming of what they wanted — really — to look like.
It haunts their dreams.
One woman told me she wears (long) shorts only around the house and hasn’t gone “out and about” in shorts since she was a teen. Why? Leg veins is why.
Now, I see a lot of women in shorts who have significant leg veins who may care about them, but wear shorts anyway. This woman’s veins are the tiny starbursts best seen “up close”. What’s the difference?
They bother her just enough … not to wear shorts … they make her self conscious.
Everybody has different tolerance levels about leg veins, facial or bikini hair, fat bulges, or just signs of aging far beyond their chronologic years.
I’ve often said cosmetic medicine, products, and procedures are really not about the wrinkle, hair, spots, fat — you name it — but about self confidence and self esteem.
Where is your confidence level? Is something holding you back?
This woman with the starburst veins is drop-dead beautiful with great legs … but will not wear shorts. It means something to her and believe me, we will not discount her or her feelings about her legs!
If it’s important to her … it’s important to me … and my staff. We will take care of it — pronto … so she can wear shorts in full confidence and without concern.
Summer is in mid-swing and people cannot help but notice things about their bodies they wish were different.
Change is but a decision away … a decision to do something about it.
You can take care of a lot right now — most of what we do to solve the most vexing problems can be done in summer — even worked around your busy schedules.
Discomfort and downtime? Minimal to non-existent! How cool is that! And results are exactly what people want and expect from modern technology available today.
And if your summer is too busy … then September is the perfect month to jump on change that will reset the bar for your self confidence and self esteem.
And you’ll even have time to have your natural looking changes completed in time for the busy Holiday season.
Think of it as New Year’s resolutions come early.
Wouldn’t it be nice in January to smile and say, “I’ve taken care of it already.”
So, go ahead and dream — but think long and hard about acting on your dreams too.
It’s within your reach … and it’s all good.
