Keep an eye out for Oscar’s Blog — coming very soon! Oh, and Oscar is a cat — not just any cat — he writes. Some of you recall a special mailing he sent out, written thinking I didn’t know – bringing droves of clients in for his offer.Â
He’s had a strange look lately since I told him about his blog opportunity, and I’m afraid he’s going to do it again.
Don’t think I’m serious? Just wait and see.

To all you new grandparents — congratulations! I have joined your ranks, having had two new additions within two weeks — both granddaughters — born to my daughter and elder son respectively. My daughter had also presented me with a grandson 19 months ago and right now he’s my best little friend. He looks so much like me I get curious looks when we’re in public — gotta love the younger look due entirely to my having had a series of Fraxel treatments plus medical grade products that really deliver.
In fact, when I had my grandaughter out at a restaurant with the rest of the family — strolling around with her after eating – I heard comments from a nearby table, “Now that’s one proud father!” Good grief — it never ends!
It’s the office joke — getting clients to guess my age — the results being 10 to 15 years under my chronologic age. This was never true before my Fraxel treatments.
So to all the new grandparents out there — congrats again! And if you want to look your absolute best with the finest skin available today give the Fraxel Laser series serious consideration — it’s worth every penny!

Dateline: Thursday, May 17 on WNJC – 1360 AM at 5:15 PM. Dr. Fairfield.
I was on Brian Greenberg’s Show being interviewed about the current malignant melanoma epidemic.Â
The “take away” points were that tanning beds are now statistically linked to getting this deadly growth, and that your best bet for early detection is to be on the lookout for new pigmented spots or any change at all in an old mole.Â
It’s best to do a self skin exam monthly (and check your kids!) — because over time, your brain will “get used to” your normal mole pattern and anything new or changed will be noticed.
If it is a pigmented spot your doctor should biopsy it — even if it looks okay! This is how we are finding early melanoma — and finding them early can be life saving!
Finally, you can enjoy fun in the sun — however avoiding direct exposure between 10 AM and 2 PM and using sun screen protecting against UVB and UVA is mandatory if you want to reduce your risk of developing melanoma.
You will develop your golden glow over time – even with sunscreen — so protect yourself and use it!Â
If you want a faster tan, consider our new tanning creams and spray tan. Newer technology now has these products refined to a very natural appearing tan that’s YOU!
And stay tuned for our debut of “Fantasy Tan” ( as seen on Fox News) — the best in the industry answer for a spray tan with a perfect color match! No one will know it’s not a real tan!
Enjoy your summer — safely!

Hi everyone!
Just dropping in to share some exciting news from our trip out to one of the area schools to talk about the skin. We were thrilled to have such an intelligent bunch of 10 year olds to speak to. What a pleasure to educate and inform this group about the phenomenal workings of the skin. The question and answer session at the end was the highlight of our trip. The children had such an interest in topics like acne, wrinkles, lyme disease and sunburns. Thanks guys and girls for a great afternoon!

Hey — it’s Dr. Fairfield and on behalf of all of our family here at the Center for Aesthetics — welcome – and enjoy browsing around this new site. Please be patient as some of the areas are “under construction” (don’t you just love that phrase) and will be completed very soon.
So stay tuned — and your feedback will be appreciated.
BTW: check back for Oscar’s blog — he’s out mousing right now. Oh — some of you don’t know — Oscar’s a copywriting cat. Yeah — I know — sounds corny — but YOU don’t have to fight him for the computer!
Later — JF
